FROM HELL BY THE HUGHES BROTHERS

Let’s check out my first movie review but at the same time it is actually my 5th assignment review for the critical literacy’s subject. I think the movie ‘From Hell’ directed by the Hughes brothers is a very interesting movie. I’m actually not the one that can adapt with thriller movie, but this American crime drama horror mystery film attract my attention and make me curious to know what is going to happen next.
The main things that make this movie attractive is of course because of the main actor, Johnny Depp or police inspector Frederick Abberline. This story tells us about the conflict that happens between the two different worlds of people, the rich and the poor. The poor people especially the women hardly get a job and force them to be a prostitute so they can continue to live. This is the only way for them to survive.
Conflict happens when one of the prostitutes has been murdered by someone and the murderer can not be identified. This is when the story get a little bit confusing and asked me to be a little curious on finding who is the real culprit.
By time, the number of prostitute that has been murdered increased. I think the way the culprit murder the prostitute is a way too harsh. Especially in the end, it shows clearly how the murder kills the prostitute by cutting her into pieces. I think the director must be a very straight forward person and he might want to surprise the audience with this act. The director has really shows us, how cruel this person that we call ‘Jack the Ripper’. It reminds me on those liquid things that Abberline drink so he can get a vision about the murder. Sometimes, this kind of act is not reasonable to be done. There are so many things that we can do to solve the problems by not bringing any harm to us. We must think clearly to get the right answer. In the end, Abberline’s died because of an Opium overdose and the culprit is still free.
